@Ilgaz Arikan welcome! I too am a long term buy and hold investor in CT. I currently househack in Manchester and am working on putting a few others under contract. I know of folks who have LTRs near bodies of water (Mystic, Goshen etc) and I've looked into it but not nearly enough to provide any sort of advice. Like others have said, you'd need to check out the municipal laws and run your numbers to make a determination about the viability of an STR in that space. If you'd like to talk about long term rentals I'm happy to help! @Ryan Luby hosts a great new haven meet up as well. Hope this helps!

@Will Dupler
Hi Will, welcome to the wonderful world of real estate! I am currently househacking a duplex in Manchester and looking for a few more. We’re renovating our unit (live-in flip hack?!) and waiting until our inherited tenants’ lease expires so we can renovate the other unit before refinancing and finding another property to house hack. Happy to answer any questions you may have!

Hey Travis! Did you ever get to connect with anyone? Which meet ups have you/are you attending? I’m an investor in CT as well.

Hi @jared hockensmith glad you got wifey on board--my husband and I are also about to purchase our first multi family house hack. It's the easiest way to get in the game with no or low money down, learn how to landlord, and just START. Everything will be up from there. Best wishes!

Hi Jacob, welcome to BP! I'm also new to real estate investing and am hoping to close on my first house hack soon. These forums have been invaluable to me, and I have been able to meet some other great folks in CT with the same mindset we have. Feel free to reach out with any questions you might have. Dig into the forums and don't be afraid to post questions.
