Ben, you have beautiful kids!  My kids, grand kids, myself...all Autistic.  If you ever need a little help understanding some of your sons' creatively wired neurology, I would be happy to give my input.

ben, I had assumed that rei was not only your vehicle to financial success, but was also your passion. You have money.  You have earned it.  Now, just grab inside yourself and pull out that 12 year old boy you once were.  What were his dreams? Do they still sound awesome?  If so, maybe you should listen to that incredible child still waiting for "his turn," and with the money you have worked so hard for, let him [you] have it.

If i had the extra money, I would allow it as long as they paid for half of it. I would also need them to share the work with me. If I could not afford to pay for half, I would not allow it.

Well Ben, I would happily sign you up as an "Avon Dude."  Free training will provide you with enough knowledge to know your "best colors"[ I'm thinking pinks] and teach you everything you want to know about lipstick application to make your lips always appear plump and kissable, all while earning the "big bucks" and passive income [ I have brought in as much as $20 a month...but, it takes time and hard work to get that far]

We have only one rental [it is my son who is hoping to retire by 35 from investments] and we brought our tenants a card with a message of extreme appreciation and $100 cash on Sunday.

I noticed that there were a number of suggestions for gift certificates to movie theaters.  There are so many people, like myself, with extreme sensory issues.  The last movie I saw in a theater was "Raiders of the Lost Ark," which came out years before most of you were born. With the overpowering smell of "fake butter" popcorn, the explosive sounds, all of the light flashes, and being expected to just sit there for 2 hours, barely moving, made me vow "Never again." Sensory issues are not uncommon, but most people with them keep them a secret from others, because they do not wish to come across as "weird." Please keep that in mind before giving a gift to, what many people consider a torture chamber.

Tom Gunnison.  I tend to "lose my words" when I come to BP,but I will do my best to explain a very few reasons.  I first became interested in Pueblo after reading an article about Pueblo online by a geographical statistician [ I know that is not the actual title] who teaches statistics at the university. Justin is obviously 'creatively wired," so I started researching.  Soon after that I spoke with a friend in the support group that I attend, who, after his own research, gave me the numbers I quoted.. If you have ever seen the movie 'Mozart and the Whale," Bills' thinking is similar to the character portrayed as the male lead [ the movie is actually based on a true story] Though Bill, like most of us, is socially inept, he is beyond mere genius with numbers AND with projecting non-Autistic peoples actions.

Initially the plan was to buy a large Autistic house in Thornton,[and build from there] but when it became clear that my son had enough money saved up to buy a home with cash in Pueblo, our group started looking more seriously at Pueblo.

I will not go into detail as exactly why Pueblo would be a good place to build an intentional community within an already existing community, because that is not pertinent. Our future community, though, for many reasons, if successful, will be one element in Pueblos' growth. Just one reason is because there are already Silicon Valley folks interested in moving a portion of their company to Pueblo if we can make the community work.

AARP has rated Pueblo as one of the best places for a retiree on a less than huge income to comfortably live.  It has been rated sixth in historical preservation, second best kids museum in the country and second best food festival. more sunny days than practically any city, and if you like that "old time community feel," how about a city park that has has kiddie rides for a quarter?

Pueblo has been rated as one of the least expensive city of its' size in the country.[I believe this is in LIVABILITY 2012]

I was just about to touch on the impact that Arkansas River Walk is practically destined to have on Pueblos' economy but I need to make Christmas cookies with my youngest grand daughter. I can elaborate later id you would like.

Bigger Pockets has saved us so much more than money.  We are an Autistic family and both my husband and myself have severe, life shortening illnesses. We have one son [also Autistic] who suffers horribly from neurological pain [not from autism] and, after spending hundreds of thousands of dollars keeping him alive, were worried about how my son would fare after we are gone.

Bigger Pockets gave us hope, and a plan, that not only takes the stress off of me, and provides an opportunity for my son to have an awesome life, but will hopefully be a big part of  eventually changing the lives of Autistics everywhere.

Pueblo Colorado has low employment and high crime rate compared to many [most] cities. That being said, for a number of reasons, I would estimate that there is about an 89 to 92% likelihood that it will be the next retirement mecca for retiring boomers from more expensive cities within the next five to ten years.

A responsible person, in my opinion, does not have "outdoor dogs.  If they are not going to take great care of their dogs, why would they take good care of your house?
