Hey BP community! Had a quick question for you this afternoon. How would i go about learning all the requirements and code for real estate in my area? I primarily want to know how big certain dimensions of the house have to be (i.e. Closet, how big a door has to be). I know I will learn this throughout my deals but I would love to do some homework on it before hand. Thank you!

Hey BP Community!

I'm currently an investor with a focus in single family homes. I like to do fix and flips and wholesaling but have acquired a new interest recently. What would it take to build a house on a lot I own. I've spoken to a few builders briefly who told me they could build a house around 90-110k.

  1. What would it take from start to finish if I delved into that side of the business?
  2. How long does it typically take to build and able to sell?
  3. How difficult is it to acquire financing for new construction?

Thank you for your input. I'm in Fort Myers, Florida specifically in San Carlos Park. If there are any builders that would love to show me the ropes and enjoy the fruit of their labor in a year or two once I'm doing these deals, please reply and lets set something up!
