Columbus, OH. As mentioned above, Columbus schools aren't the best but the economic growth is booming.

I own a property that has high taxes, around twice higher than other properties in the neighbourhood. I am looking for advice on the best way to contact the city and request to reduce the taxes on this property.
Should I do it independently? if so how?
Do you recommend paying someone to file it for me?
All tips are highly appreciated :)
Thank you!
You can try to challenge the city assessment. You can get instructions on how to do so here.

Hi Andrew, I think both Cleveland and Columbus have their pros and cons. You will find really good cashflow in Cleveland, you will find good cash flow and appreciation in Columbus. Check out the population trends between Cleveland and Columbus.

I’m new to investing and was wondering if anyone had advice in researching optimal locations for rental properties.
I am looking to start off by house hacking and would like to narrow down areas in my state. Are there any websites or resources you guys use research best locations? And if so what are things that I should look for? Thankyou!
Abby :)
Hi Abby, another Columbus investor here! The market is ripe for investing and a beautiful city as well.

Hi all, I’m in Columbus,Oh. We are in a high demand/low inventory housing market right now. House prices are at all time highs. I’ve always learned that buying when home prices are low/higher interest is better than the opposite. High home price/low interest. Buying a house with built in equity hopefully. Why would anyone buy in this environment in Columbus. Im think 2021 home prices have to start dropping. Any thoughts are appreciated.
I'm still buying properties, I think the market is only going to grow. You have a ton of businesses pouring millions and millions of dollars into the city.

Hello. I am trying to start wholesaling in Columbus. I am not new to investing but am new to wholesaling. I've been working hard to educate myself on the end to end process (e.g., souring leads, negotiations, calculating MAO's, double closings vs. assignments, understanding the different markets/neighborhoods in Columbus, etc. etc.). The part that I'm stuck at is wholesaling nuances in OH specifically. I understand that a broker's license is needed to legitimately wholesale a property, and that without one, you can only market one's legal interest in the property. Is there a resource (a book, training, website, or anything else) anyone can recommend that will help me understand this area better? I understand that marketing the legal interest to a property means you cannot market photos of the property, but I see plenty of wholesalers do this, while still advertising that it's a "contract for sale".
Similarly, how does one show the property to investor buyers without photos? Can I even allow end buyers access to scout the property physically if I'm not legally allowed to market the property itself?
And if I can only market a contract for sale, can I even claim to the seller that I can "provide a cash offer"? Can I legitimately sell my services as a cash offer even though I'm not the end buyer?
Any guidance / direction would be appreciated. I've hit a roadblock and am having trouble findings answers to the above. Thanks!
Hi Mahinda, I would reach out to several of the bigger wholesalers here in Columbus and see what they have to say. I would get connected to the CREAM group on Facebook, you'll find a lot of good connections there. Good luck!
