New York State property law reform of 2019 removes many rights landlords took for granted.

If this high speed train comes in and the local cities continue to reform and create areas that draw new businesses in.

There is a big push for construction defects reform and if that goes through the legislature there will be a rush of affordable and entry level condos in the Denver area.

But the Seattle City Council should implementsome simple reforms before spending more public money just to keepthe system afloat.Inits application for city funds, the Low Income Housing Institutenoted that it “faces serious issues regarding rent collection.”Tenantswho pay their rent typically pay on time.

Use it to do more, learn more, have direct and honest conversations, honestly give those who can reform a chance to reform, honestly throw out the trash when the trash is asking for it.The term "hobby landlording" didn't have to be used in my previous response.

But in the interest of homeowners and landlords alike, I believe Texas needs property tax reform.

It was only after going line by line with the loan officer during the crisis that I realized that they missed two rental properties that were on my Schedule E for the two years' returns they asked for - all because they overlooked them in my Schedule of RE form, and never actually pulled my returns from the IRS.Do not take anything for granted.  

Many buildings are considered disposable,  and some cannot be " reformed"  if their built after certain year.

My reformed accountant's analytical brain still loves spreadsheets :-)

I believe since the 1986 Tax Reform Act, only real estate gains (or any passive gains I believe) can be offset by real estate losses.
