Don’t look at paying rent as “wasted money”... more appropriately you should look at it as buying patience and time for first hand education.Working as a flight instructor or launching your aviation career can sometimes be a thin existence (unless you’re subsidizing that habit with your big oil job).

I also ANSWER my phone when ever possible even to say I have to call you back. then I do my work out and turn it off about 5 and then watch sports ( 49ers, Giants Warriors are my teams)  then check out BP and other things like aviation sites. ( avid pilot) and then fishing .. like to fish.Stop and smell the roses quarterly  IE take a nice trip somewhere Mexico..

People pay for education all the time.. its not only real estate is many other things. for instance in aviation you can pay extra for the cram course to pass your instrument rating or you can go the slow cheaper mode.
