High heat has been a contributing factor to the above-average number of fires we've already seen across the state this summer, including the Apple Fire still burning in Riverside County, the Lake Fire still burning near Lake Hughes, the Ranch Fire still burning near Azusa, and the Post Fire still burning near Corona.
