We are doing a lot of small repairs this year while we live here but I have been putting off any more expensive items until we move out, under the assumption that once we move out, we can write off the cost of those items (example, window replacement).Is there a trick for making these major improvements now- but with the ability to write off some of the expense?

However, lawn was not mowed (as requested) because they think the lawn was too soft after placing the new sods on some spots, and some of the Window sills were patched but did not painted.

You can monitor the camera system and flood light triggers similar to or the same as a Ring system and of course make sure windows and doors are fully secured.I would also talk to the neighbors on each side and across he street letting them know that under no circumstances should anyone be there on the property outside of X hours of the day and to call you or the police if they see anything.
