But if the market drops, which in my mind is at least as likely, I think it will drop by more than that.So just in my thinking (I could very well be wrong of course), the risk/reward ratio has tilted in favor of holding back and seeing what happens.

I filter out the noise by ignoring the news and social media and by doing what has always worked (my buy and hold and the metrics I use to distinguish a good deal).I can understand why a new investor would be overwhelmed during this time.
