My living room, master bedroom and bathroom all have knob and tube where as the kitchen, basement, and two remaining rooms have updated wiring.I never make the jump to buy the house since I know I can't commit to rehabbing the house in a timely manner and know that I will be stuck paying an extra mortgage for too long before I would be able to rent the property out or sell it.

I have called them quite frequently lately and they are pretty helpful.If you were going to try for a CUP I would keep the tenants why you wait to get approved that way you know before you get any more vacancies what you are looking at.As for finding locations of properties with CUPs, ask that question to planning and design and I bet they can either tell you where to find it or look it up for you.

Zero down programs are frequently used by those with very limited funds, and I would not even consider purchasing an investment property without reserves set aside for anything unexpected, especially when you have no equity position.

The reason for this inverse relationship, is because the ratio of home owners(including investors) to government spending/debt is disproportionate, so they must tax the property owners at higher rates(some places as high as 5.5%) to make the budgetary commitments.
