@Karyn T. Thank all of you guys for your input and I totally agree with all of you. I just would just like to clarify how things went down just because I butchered the scenario big time in hope that I won't be labled as a bad person. In reality I just went for the Pre approval two days ago I had spoke to my brother last week and he said he would finance the closing cost for my wife and I . After we were Pre approved my brother said we would no longer would be able to supply the money. The way I posted the yesterday was just to get suggestions on ways to raise capital but for being too lazy to explain the details instead of helping get ideas and support I just gave my self a bad name and hurt my self. Again I am explaining this in hope that you awesome folks don't think I am a bad person. FYI I explained to my banker today the situation and she understood and actually gave me several ideas on how to make this possible. Lesson learned .... Don't be lazy and cut corners because you will end up worse than you started.

Forgive me I was not clear on my post. I lied to my banker to be able to get my Pre approval letter. I have not viewed at any houses yet because I wanted to ensure I all my finance was in place. Basically I posted this to get suggestions on how to raise funds for my closing cost when that time comes. It looks like I am going to have to tough it out and wait till I have all the money saved. Thank you all for your inputs and my apologies for the confusion once again.

So I have a preapproval to buy my first rental property. I lied to my banker and told her I would get the closing cost as a gift from a family member. Basically that plan back fired and I am now short closing cost. Any suggestions??

Hello @Andy Moore welcome to biggerpockets. You have come to the best place to learn about rei. Here is a blog that helped me out when I decided that rei was going to be my financial vehicle. I hope it helps.

Hello BP,

I hope every one had a great weekend. I am on the search for a property manager that will manage my future rental property was looking some tips on how to pre qualify a property manager. What are some of key questions to ask to ensure this person is effecient and cares about my business? What are some of the characteristics to look for when choosing some one?

Abel

Good morning,

@Kizzy Robb thank you for your feed back first and for most. Quick question for you, which podcast # was that one you are referring to? ( so I can listen to it)

@Elizabeth Colegrove yes I did that and I saw plenty of bad reviews. I guess I just wanted to confirm with some one that had experience of working with them on bigger pockets. Thank you by the way.
