@Michael B. Your roles as a GP will vary depending on not only the team, but the deal itself. Generally the more money you can bring to the table the more involved you will be. I would speak to a few operators and see what they would be willing to do.

@Omer Zulfiqar I'm reading The Best Ever Apartment Syndication book by Joe Fairless and Theo Hicks right now, and it's great. It gives you actionable steps and exercises to get started.

There was a development like this proposed in Colorado Springs and the community threw a HUGE fit at the public hearings. It is not completely dead yet, but my guess is that it will get shut down due to the local outrage. Part of the problem might be the selected location. It is near a pretty affluent part of town, and they don't want "those vagrants" near them. lol. Some of the letters from the locals were priceless.
