Do CPAs need to be licensed in the state in which they are servicing? I don't think so, but I've never been asked this question. I imagine you'd want someone locally in SD. If you need to come to MN, George Doyle is great. I don't think he's on BP but try a google search and he'll pop up.  

@Evan Kraljic thanks for the mention. West side St. Paul all day! Agree with @Kurt Pauley, west 7th is great. I invest in both neighborhoods. Also, yes, uptown gets a big thumbs down from this guy. Pick an area you know and believe in, make a decision based on data.

Thanks for the shout outs fellas! Took a little holiday break from BP... happy to chat with anyone who's interested in STRs, I've been doing it for a while. 

I agree with @Matt Higgins, we call this an incurable objective. I don't like anything outside of my control (why I also don't like HOAs.). Maybe a little time/patience will present a better alternative? It's no fun being a buyer right now, that's for sure.

I wouldn't buy the nicest triplex in town, that's for sure. Which "working-class" neighborhood do you have your eye on?
