I am a purchaser of tax liens here in Alabama and my suggestion to you and anyone else that wants to purchase tax lien properties here in Alabama, learn the laws first. Anything that you do to preserve a house to livable condition is redeemable provided that you show documents but you will be reimbursed however months you take ie.12%. You have to learn the laws contact your attorney so you would know your rights before you post because everybody that post and answer is not correct.

I have a few clients looking for houses in The Centerpoint and Eastlake areas.

I'm willing to wholesale them to them, if possible. They actually want owner financing but forewarned them that a nice sized downpayment would be needed/

I'm not a real estate agent by no means but i see this as way of making alittle money as well.

Please post or contact me directly.

thank you for your response. I've already went to see and the only plan they have is land banking and as I stated on my profile I've been tied up with them for about a year waiting to close on 3 properties.

I've been in conversation with other investors and we were talking about neighborhoods that are run down. We were talking about 2 in particular here in Birmingham AL. I've often heard of grants to do this but never knew anyone that had one granted.

Can anyone shed some light on this subject?

I would pay taxes on the "pictures" too. But being a resident I know pictures will give you a thousand lies. And that's why theyere6paying taxes still. But my question is what property manager is supposed to be keeping this property up? Or is this all done deliberately to lower the property value in this neighborhood?
