@Kim Hardman Welcome to the community! That is very exciting that you and your husband are getting off of the sideline and into the game! Try to pick a strategy that you can be passionate about and of course makes sense. If you love hospitality and hosting, maybe the Short-term or mid-term route is for you. If you want less turn-over and just want steady rents, go for possibly long-term. If you don't want to deal with any tenant communication, you can use property management companies. Whatever aligns best with yours and your husbands personalities

@Dylan Robinson

I don't think so, I think its just a matter of if the numbers make sense there isn't too much more to think about in my opinion without ending up in analysis paralysis. I was able to connect with a property manager out there through someone I heard on a podcast, and I knew worst case scenario I could have just sold the property if I ended up not liking long-distance

Welcome @Dylan Robinson

Seconding what @Jonathan Greene said, you have a powerful tool for house hacking when you get back. Also, I would definitely read that book by David Greene! I read that book and bought my first out of state property right after. Definitely some good tips in there!

I have a few different bank accounts with multiple banks for different reasons (business partnerships, bank relationships, etc.) It is a hassle of course to log into each account to check on transactions, balance etc. Any recommended softwares that can show real-time balances, and transactions for multiple different banks and bank accounts/savings accounts?

Welcome back @Sabrina Shaulis ! One thing that I noticed helps a lot of times is going to local networking events and hanging around like-minded individuals. You will see first hand what is working and what isn't working in the area you are looking in and can build a great circle of friends who you can learn and grow with

Welcome to the community @Srinivas Bondada ! depending on what you are looking to do, there is a Market Finder tool within BP as well under the "Pick Markets" tab which has some data that may help
