Hey Bryant Schur thanks for help here. I am a seasoned investor looking for financing all the time. I mainly invest in rochester ny. Where are you investing and do you work in the area. I have been told that working with local banks usually help secure financing quicker rather then going to the "big box" banks. Thanks

Hi Joe Martella and welcome to BP. I am currently investing in Rochester NY and although the markets are similar to Buffalo, rental market is strong and has a bit of an appreciation every year. Cap rates are very decent compared to other parts of NY. Good luck and reach out if you need more information.

Thanks Michael Norris for your input. The policy is replacement. I rather deal with the insurance company myself. I have already engaged a contractor to get me an estimate but might get a second opinion on that. The insurance adjuster was very prompt in getting in there and start working on the claim. At this point it is a waiting game to see what the numbers came back at. I just want to get the units repaired and re rented as app as possible. Thanks again.

I was in a similar situation not to long ago. I provided them a few space heaters and discounted their rent by a few dollars. You will be amazed how grateful they can get. Remember a few dollars discounted today will save you a ton of headaches later.
