@Eldon Pixley Most rentals in the area are listed and rented out on Facebook Marketplace. Some people do use apartments.com, realtor.com, Zillow Rentals, and Craigslist, but that is maybe 5-10% of the traffic you will get via Marketplace. To answer your bigger question, the reality up here is that yes, the market is extremely tight for rentals right now. Most units will be rented within a week if not less. That definitely makes it hard to determine comps, I keep a search going and save whatever pops up so that I can have something to go from.

@Eldon Pixley Best of luck to you! Definitely a very feasible goal, although conventional may be easier from a purchasing standpoint, and doesn’t require that much more as a down payment. Maine is a great place to live.
