@Ruth P. Yes, you can make an offer with one of the conditions being that the property be handed over with all units vacant.

@Andy Verge Look up 3 Clifford St for the Biddeford package. I know of one in Waterville as well. And Lewiston/Auburn potentially depending what you're looking for. Find on MLS or through networking...

@Nestor Roldan I may be able to help you with Brunswick. Let’s talk. If you don’t have anyone for S Portland yet, I am fairly connected down there and may be able to find you someone as well.

@Lance Dutson This is a common issue in Maine if you are using an out of state bank for financing. They will not know which appraisers to use that know how to appraise in the unique Maine market. Who were you using for your financing?

Hi. I have a property I am wanting to purchase and it is in an opportunity zone. I want to take advantage of the tax benefits but cannot find any good information on how to get this purchase to be qualified. I see it may require the property to be funded by an Opportunity Fund? Can I set that up as part of the purchase? Or is there a simpler way?
Thanks for any help you can provide!!

Very cool! I've been starting to look at the Waterville area myself. I don't know it at all but it seems the prices are really good compared to the rents. You will have to keep us posted on how this works out for you.
