These are very good tips. I just recently enrolled into school to get my license and first thought I had was how I need to protect myself when I do start working in the field. Thanks for the post!

@Kuba F. Thank you so much for the input. I currently own a pet care business and have my business on my back window. I have decided to take it off for that same reason, and could see why for this business too. I have read the first blog, and thoroughly enjoyed it, and learned a lot. I will read the other one as well. Thank you again!
@Eric Gardiner Thank you for the input! I appreciate it.

Hello everyone,
I am new to real estate investing and have chosen to focus on wholesaling homes, and later on getting some rental properties under my belt. I have yet to do any deals in real estate, but have done my best to learn what I can to get started in wholesaling. I am ready to take the jump into getting started.
I wanted to get tips on what the best ways are to market myself to sellers. I have created a website, and just ordered postcards to be direct mailed. I used Vistaprint, but if you know of a better service let me know.
I will also be ordering cards. What success have others had with bandit signs? Or having car window decals?
All in all, what is your favorite and most effective way to get your name out there?
Thank you all for the help, this site has been a great tool for getting started and I look forward to my real estate growth!

I also went to their free seminar out of curiosity. I did not know much about real estate investing, and the one thing I did get out of the seminar is it got me excited about investing.
The moment they did their sales pitch to the 3-day workshop for only $2,000 that needs to be paid today, I knew this was definitely not necessary with all the free information you can get from online. They are surely good salespeople getting many to sign up for the event, and there were many who did that day. I am so glad I did not sign up, especially after reading this post.
Hopefully since your bad experience with them, you have been able to jump into real estate investing using a lot of the free and very helpful tools here on bigger pockets.

Hello,
I am new to investing and learning a lot. I have yet to do any sales or deals, and just educating myself right now. I read that it might be a good idea to become a real estate agent before becoming an investor so you are making income while learning. I wonder what others thought of this, and what you think the best way to get started in real estate would be.
My goals are to eventually do a couple house flips a year, and have rental properties. I am also looking to do this part time, so I can still work on my already established business part time.
I appreciate all thoughts and feedback on this post!
Thank you

@Bret Ehlers Thank you for the welcome!
I see there is a local meet up for wholesale investors Thursday that I will try to make. I was thrilled to see that. Socializing with like minded people and learning about investing sounds like a great way to get started.
I appreciate you sharing with me the questions I should be asking, this will definitely help me to find the right people to speak with.
Thank you again for all the helpful information!
@Dave Visaya Thank you! I look forward to getting to know all the wonderful people here. There is no shortage of them from the looks of it.
@Rebecca Belnap I did see the meetup for this Thursday, thank you for the help and information on other meet ups around my area. I will look into all of them.
