Go to your local REIA most can be found on Meetup.com and ask around and find a mentor, someone who actually knows your market, ask for recommendations. Avoid the Flip this House HGTV marketing machine selling you a magic box of goodies for upwards of 40k. I mentor new investors in the New England area and hear "I wish I had met you before I spent all of my money" they get caught up in the smoke and mirrors and want answers so badly they buy in and come out more confused and frustrated than ever. Find a reputable mentor in your area and hire them to consult with you one on one! Best of luck to you.

There are many people new to investing with so many unanswered questions...before you sign up for one of the many HGTV events that lure you into putting all your hard earned money (40-50K) into a program based with a guru in an area accross the country, I implore you go to your local REIA meeting, most can be found on Meetup.com and ask people there for a recommendation, there are local investors that memtor/consult with you for much much less and give you a far greater value...one on one guidance. They know "your" market and network where you are and can therefore provide introductions to professionals and teach you how to do the same. If you have any questions or if I can be of assistance please reach out. Best of luck to you!
