Quote from @Luka Jozic:

Hi everyone!

I am looking to buy my first out of hopefully many multi-family properties within the somewhat near future within the 300K range. I have some experience from my home country Sweden but understand its a very different ball game here. I currently live in WA but looking to move to Tampa, FL in a year or so but believe there are better areas to invest in. Therefore, I am looking to invest out of state and I would like to find other OOS investors to share ideas.
I am a software engineer by profession and as you all know, tech can help us in many different ways. By teaming up with someone more knowledgable, I believe we could create programs that can help us search for areas, properties, help us with the due diligence process and even automate parts of is, and much more. Almost anything that a human can do, a computer can do better and MUCH faster. Feel free to contact me if this sounds interesting! Stay positive, test negative!

I am also looking to get started OOS in Tampa, lets chat sometime!

I am currently reading the Multifamily Millionaire series and have a question regarding the BRRRR method. If I plan on using a cash-out refinance commercial loan (5+ units) and am going to use a mortgage broker to find the best loan, how do I get the financing lined up prior to the purchase of the property? Will the broker go out and identify the best lender prior to me looking for a property? How do I get the information about seasoning, rate, term, etc, so that I can properly run the numbers on properties? I am trying to follow the BRRRR method of building a team prior to searching for properties.

Thank you!

Great job for choosing to Househack! I'm currently HouseHacking in St.Louis and it is working out great. I know that it's not nearly as expensive as your market, but I would also ask about a 5% down non-FHA loan. I was able to get a significantly better interest rate doing this.

Good luck!

I honestly thought the second volume is quite a bit better. It deals more with larger apartments and syndications.

I will definitely be reading that next, thank you!
Do you recommend any other resources for larger apartments and syndications?

I finished reading the Multifamily Millionaire Volume one book and just wanted to post about how great I think it is and made me change my mind on what type of investing I want to pursue.

I am a newbie that previously wanted to get started with SFH, but I now want to invest in multifamily using the BRRRR strategy.

I plan to start with a 3-4 unit in Tampa FL using creative financing for the purchase, and my own capital for the rehab. I am going to follow the stack method to quickly scale. To do this, I realize that I will need to utilize partnerships and creative financing.

I am very excited to start this journey and would love to chat with anyone that wants to talk real estate!

Some great advice here! I would also recommend sticking close to BiggerPockets and start by reading "How to invest in real estate" by Brandon & Josh.

Goodluck!
