Hi Kristy,
Thank you for the welcome. I'm based out of Spring, TX and try to focus on the North side of Houston but some of my investor clients have me going all over the place.
If you ever need help. Don't hesitate to ask. What unit is your boyfriend with? Its a small world, he and I might have crossed paths.

Denita,
Best of luck. All good information above from fellow BP peers. In deciding your management strategy, be sure to analyze the true value of your time. This is an important part of the formula.

Welcome to BP Shelby! Making the decision to third party or self-manage a property is a big one. I recommend you assess the value of your time to help decide which path to chose. Good luck!

Sohrab,
I am in the business and in Houston compensation for property management spans both spectrums. % of gross rent collected certainly benefits you if your properties are on the lower end of the scale. I've chosen a model that combines both. % of rent collected capped at a certain amount.

Good question Chalawndra. Good property management involves good communication and engagement between the owner manager and tenant. Its a team event and if one leg of this stool is missing or lacking, you're likely to fall flat.

Thanks Stacy. Been here about 7 years. I see you're in Montgomery. Which firm are you with?

No better source for information than BP. I've learned much in the short time I've been a member. Great place to pick others brains and vet new ideas.
