Today I spoke to the officer who was on the scene - turns out the 911 call was from a woman whose boyfriend lives in the complex, and she called the police because of a drug deal gone bad, and she was being chased by 5 men with guns (I'm not making this up, but she probably was).

She ran and hid by our condo, then called the police back to say the men were gone. Of course the police show up anyway, and she's not there, so they break down the door. Then they find the woman hiding elsewhere in the complex, and she said she would pay for the damage. I forgot to ask if they arrested her for admitting being part of a drug deal.

So the officer tells me, after I already submit my contractor's invoice to the city claims office, that they have her name and contact info and I can talk to her about reimbursement. Oh really? I should get involved with an admitted criminal who associates with armed drug dealers? No thanks. The officer said I will have to wait to see if my claim is approved by the city, and if not, I would have to work it out with this woman. Who, I assume, has plenty of cash from drug deals.

"WE completely screwed up but the law says we arent responsible so tough crap for you Joe taxpayer"

And they wonder why law abiding citizens get fed up with all the political bs going on everyday.

Sorry to hear this Aly, good luck and maybe a call to an attorney for short conversation wouldnt be a bad idea.

With the lack of pitch to the roof, looks like someone did a torch down, they are usually for flat commercial roofs.

Same here. You can find them used on ebay or amazon for very reasonable price. GREAT reading!

Price it right the first time and go from there. If the area is indeed "hot" you will get bidding wars.

If you price it too high some buyers wont even look so it will sit on the market lingering, you then start reductions and next thing you know, everyone is wondering whats wrong with it.

We should all remember, not everyone in this world is the jump in and just do it types, in fact most are quite the opposite. To those I suggest not watching or paying the "gurus" and instead reading and networking here along with any local REIs you may have. Then build yourself some solid relationships and eventually find a mentor to work with.

You can do it, just dont expect it overnight.

Exactly my thoughts as I read the post and then thought....here it comes, lol.

The show is amusing but gets old with the constant bickering and his drama yelling with her crying.

How do you like that, there is a house in there, lol.

Good luck Kyle , the fun is just starting.
