@Arthur Bailey I went with a local bank in my area that I had used for a few of my other properties.  OSB Has several branches.  They said they can do most of Illinois, the numbers just have to work.  If you want more specifics PM me.

@Matt Polinchak Congratulations, it’s very exciting to get started.  Being a realtor and using your commission to help pay the Dow payment is a good way to ‘paycheck’ hack.  

Welcome @Dane Moscatelli!  Lots going on in and around Joliet.  Get to the point you are researching the area you want to invest in.  Read books, listen to podcasts and spend some time on Bigger Pockets to learn more about Real Estate.  Think about what your good at and how to leverage that with others.  Joliet has a meetup but of course thats on hold right now, hopefully that will soon be restarted.  (look on facebook for Joliet meetup)

@Justin Lee We just closed on a 5 unit yesterday.  20% down, 25 year loan, readjust every 5 years.  We found a smaller community bank.  We have a few banks in our area Chicago suburbs, which have good terms.  It just takes a bunch of calls to find which ones will work for you. 

@Gideon Blustein this is facinating, I've been thinking of doing this.  Would love to know a little more if you end up doing this.  

Wow, congratulations Alex.  What made you pick Joliet?  I saw you are from Indiana, do you have family in the Joliet area.  Please be very watchful and closely monitor your contractor, and don’t forget to call references.  I’m glad your taking steps to put things in place before you even close.

@Anthony Bellesbach, hi Anthony both our Streator properties are 2 bedrooms. We do not because of our other businesses landlord. We use The Chrysalis Group out of Ottawa. Use them now for 5 properties. No complaints at all.

We have 2 houses in Streator.  850 and 895.  Great tenants, timely rent, properties kept nice.  Both purchased March 2019.

Hola Companeros!  I wish I would have seen this earlier but as Yezenia said better late than never. 1st generation here.  (I was 2 when moved to the States)  Tried in 2013 but had ALOT to learn.  Found BP end of 2017, listened to all the podcasts (some 2-3 times).  Now things are so much smoother.  By end of 2020 should be at 11 properties.

@Ivan Torres Hi there.  In the Joliet area I use Futurevision for a couple of properities.  I did interview a couple others but was not impressed.  So far no real complaints, good tenents, dispursement quickly.   Hope this helps.
