Hello! I'm currently living in Japan and want to start saving up for real estate investing for when I get back to the states. How would you recommend saving money for investing? Regular old savings or do guys have a more interesting idea? I would prefer to do something more valuable than savings so I don't lose money.

Kevin Phu awesome! I would like to go bigger if possible. Do you have any recommendations for things to read or listen to? I have a good amount of time to learn and plan so I gotta take advantage of it. If you were in my position now, would you do anything other than just learning and saving as well?

Kevin Phu Thank you! My DEROS to return back to the states is January 2019. I'm not sure if I want to re-enlist or not but if I did I was thinking of using the VA loan on a duplex and me and my wife would live in one side to get started. What do you think about that? Thanks for the advice!
