@Teri Kelsey - Welcome to BP! I'm in the kitsap area as well. I'm pretty new to REI, but i've found the podcasts, webinars, and blog posts very helpful.

Also, +1 to what to what Mike mentioned.  The KItsap REAPS meeting is great place to learn and network.

My wife and I are in the same boat as you.  I'm still playing catch up on the podcasts, lots of great information here.  We're looking to buy and hold sfr and multi's in the Kitsap area.  Wish you the best!

@James Wise The timing worked out for me where the tenants lease was up in May, and I did have my property manager give them a couple months notice that I was planning on selling.  Unfortunately, the house is still on the market -- a buyer backed out 2 days before closing (about 2 weeks ago) because of a family crisis.

Hello everyone!

I stumbled upon this great community while looking for information on Real Estate investing.  I was really blown away by the wealth of information on this site, as well with the community of people willing to help others. 

A little about me, I reside in Bremerton WA, have a wife and 2 kids.  I don't have any real experience in Real Estate outside of my first primary residence that I ended up renting out after I moved.  It's now on the market, and I would love to reinvest the gains back into real estate in one form or another.  I hope to connect and learn from many of you at BP, and hopefully one day be able to give back and help others.
