Hello Ali

@Ali Boone Presently, we are at the closing phase of our first turnkey purchase. Since this is our first with many more to go, and you have numerous years of experience. Can you contact me offline and provide your recommended list of turnkey companies?  I want us to research different regions - purchasing a few in each area we've vetted. Thanks for your help in advance.

Great question -- LLC and anticipated cost?

@Courtney Jones

Thanks for asking and addressing a concern that many newbie are faced at the beginning of REI. We have decided to research LegalZoom and thus far, the process has been simple and inexpensive. However, as we grow our business and I am sure, we will keep evolving to other resources in an effort to protect our assets.

Good Luck

@Thomas Lillevold

I completely concur with your suggested wisdom. ,

A few years back, I had to deal with a similar tenant issue. Unfortunately, her other landlords did not report or file legal papers again her. So  our original background checks came back clear. Although, the legal process does cost us money, we must keep in mind that without filing, the tenant can repeat the process over and over again. Thus, causing another landlord the same heartache.

Thanks for your story.

Hello,

@Jordan Diehm I suggest you start your search with researching what is available in the area from websites like www.homesearch.com or www.LoopNet.com These types of websites will save you some time and give you an idea of what is available from single family to multi-units, price ranges, and etc.

Good luck with whatever you decide to purchase and welcome to the BP community.
