Have you researched the law in Illinois to see if you need a RE broker's license to operate?

Read their reviews! I use it all the time, but you can get a bad contractor on there as easy as anywhere else. My son gets jobs this way sometimes and the customers review him at the end. 

If you leave the service or retire, the loan us due and payable immediately.  I don't know your situation, just a caution in case you weren't  aware.

Number of reviews and checking their calendar should give you a rough idea.

First you need to research your city ordinances to see if STR is even an option for you. Not all municipalities allow it. Go to Airbnb site and see if there are any in your area aND assess how busy they are for what they are offering.

A good CPA will save you more than he/she will cost. You need to seek someone out.

Virtual staging....getting more and more use in RE listings. I've seen some really good results and some bad. 

We have used them several times and have had good experiences so far.  Have not used the rent collection aspect, as that is a relatively new feature and I'm not sure it has all of the benefits I would like to see in such an app.

Just paid off my guy yesterday....effectively 18%. 3 points up front and 15% interest on the loan. Feels REALLY good to have him out of my life! :-)

To each his own....do you need the monthly income? Can you stomach the tax hit? Would a 1031 exchange be a better strategy? Do you worry about a market crash? No easy answers.
