Chris T. I have not, but I will buy it. I've got a few other bigger pocket books and have liked them.

I am also interested in this, as we just decided on a CPA, but are looking for a good tax strategy book as well.

Had to kiss a lot of proverbial frogs to get here, but I think I finally found someone I can trust to handle my personal/business taxes. Just had a meeting with Sundin & Fish in Chandler, AZ. Very knowledgeable of real estate taxes and practices. Competitive rates for filing returns. And what I liked most of all is the fact that they don't charge a ridiculous hourly rate if you have questions throughout the year. They are literally just a phone call or email away. Awesome way to do business if you ask me. I met with Robert Williams and feel very comfortable with handing over the tax side of my business to his team.

Sounds like a good plan to me. I'm almost in the same boat as you - I have some experience flipping/rehabbing properties, just don't have a ton of my own capital to work with. I'm actually on my way to meet with a potential partner right now. What I've learned is that it never hurts to ask. The worst they can say is no, and that's no big deal really. Just gotta keep going. That's the cool thing about real estate: pretty much any way you can think of to do a deal is a solid possibility. Gotta love being able to be creative.

@Linda Weygant thank you....they seemed to be pricey to me.  We have our bookkeeping covered for now through our property management.

Any others I have received have been an hourly price or an overall "this is how much it will cost to do your taxes" price.  I haven't talked to any CPA's that specialize in real estate or investing per se, just ones that have said they can do taxes for me.  I am going to call a few more and see what they have to offer.

The $1490 for the year seems a bit much to me, I can tell you that much.  I would prefer to find a local CPA that I can actually meet with face to face if need be, at least for now just getting started.

So I set up my LLC through LegalZoom and got a "free" 1 on 1 call with a rep from 1.800.ACCOUNTANT as part of setting up through them.

I just got off the phone with the rep, and now I ask you: Has anyone here used 1.800.ACCOUNTANT for their tax needs? Any good or bad experiences with them? I got quoted $1490 yearly cost plus a $30/mo retainer to have unlimited access to my personal real estate accountant.

The sales pitch seemed like exactly what I need, by design I know. As a new LLC owner, I'm wondering if I should go that route, or if there is a better way to go instead.

Any input is appreciated as we're trying to get everything with the business setup and rolling as soon as we can.
