@Jason Krick: Yeah. Its always interesting to get the update. Like TV series, season 2.

I was gonna contact @Karma Senge but I realized he has been inactive on BP for 10 months.

Thanks for sharing the podcast though.

@Account Closed: Thank you for the update. I am barely starting out and yet to close my 1st deal. Commercial real estate (businesses, corporate and residential complexes) is the ultimate goal. I dont have the money for a program like that, but thanks for your update. I'll consider it when I am ready for it..!

@Account Closed : Hi Kenneth. Did you pay for the program ? I am thinking for enrolling but I cant afford 10-15k. To be honest as a beginner even a couple of thousand dollars would bring enough skin in the game.

Also, your comment was on Oct 2nd 2015. Whats the update ? Were you able to close any deals. Please share.

Thanks,

Eyan

@Mark Limke Thank you for your kind offer to help. USAA is my favorite bank. As I get started I will definitely Holler back for any advice or help. Meanwhile, stay connected and good luck for 2016.

@Will Pritchett: Thank you for a friendly response Will. Yes, I've started listening to BP podcasts. In fact, I am going page by page and reading everything possible that is relevant to my goal. I am currently reading "How to make friends and influence people" followed by which I'll read "Rich dad, poor dad". I will definitely listen to that podcast by Karen when I need to charge up.

Good to know you like discussing finance and real estate. That's something we have in common. I ll definitely message you when I have the right questions ask or something I learn that might be of your interest.

Thanks :)

@Phillip Smith: Thank you for kind advice and help. Hearing from experienced professionals like you already feels like I've over come a road block. As I learn more about rental properties, flipping houses, property developers etc, I feel over whelmed with the knowledge and the choice of roles played by REI broker, licensed agent, developer etc

The ultimate goal is to develop properties (commercial and corporate). So, I am continuing to read more. I think I need to learn more so I can ask the right questions and sound less naive approaching anyone for guidance.

It would be to nice to catch up sometime. Thanks

Hi everyone,

I am Eyan Lakhani from San Antonio, Tx. I finished my PG in 'Strategic Management' from Toronto in 2012 and worked as a financial analyst for few months. I saw so many things around me which could have been done better thus, I decided to be an entrepreneur.

I then partnered with a European company that provides laser and IPL equipments. Things went good for a few months before the company reevaluated their expansion into US and I had to explore another venture.

I also invested in SaaS, e-commerce (consumer electronic products) and financial products (insurance). None of which was very appealing to me and then, real estate it was that brought curiosity to learn everything about it.

I am 24 looking forward to learn as much as possible about real estate (both conventional and nonconventional methods). I realize that I need a good mentor who can harness the potential in me. What is your advice on starting out colleagues ?

PS: I real previous threads for a few hours and wanted to say, everyone in this community is truly awesome and helpful.

Thank you and great year ahead
