@Chris Vail @Ali Samee Hi, I lead and founded the Roseville Real Estate Investing group at RosevilleMeetup.com and my group is FREE to join and attend meetings. There are also 2 other big groups in the area, Capital City Wealth Builders and Norcal REIA, both of these require a payment of I believe $20 at the door. I know both of the people who run the other groups, and they are great meetings as well. My next meeting is January 10th at 6:30PM and full details are at the website listed above! Good Luck :-)

@Carrianne Mucho @Patrick Boutin  Hi, I founded and lead the Roseville Real Estate Investing group.  The link is at RosevilleMeetup.com and it is a FREE group to join and attend meetings, The last meeting we had 130 people and the group has over 800 members.  Our next meeting is January 10th at 6:30PM at 2305 Clubhouse Dr in Rocklin, CA.  It's held in the big banquet room at Whitney Oaks Golf Club. They are a lot of fun and the meeting in January will be valuable to newer investors, as well as seasoned pros.  If you are able to make it, be sure to find me and introduce yourself.

The loan is originated by a broker, so exempt from usury. The broker could charge any rate. The loan is non-owner business use, so exempt from RESPA and TILA. He should have done the RE885 combo MLDS /GFE... For California, but I think he is still good.  I would say the guy agreed to a debt, the lender loaned money and took the risk, so pay up!!

@JD Martin Plane tickets are not bad right now!  Sacramento is a great flipping area, so you could come out to do some scouting :-).

I was 19 when I bought my first home.  I lived in it for 1 year and sold it for 50% more than I paid for it.  You are never too young.  I teach a lot of people about wholesaling in a meetup group I have for investors. I have people your age and a little older who are doing well.
