@Laura Dipper my experience with financial advisor has been just as @Josh Caldwell wrote. think about what you want to gain from going to a financial adviser and then ask here: "how can I learn about ______?"

Hope this helps!

@Marc-Andre Bordeleau You've got initiative. Good luck! :)

@Ryan Maier- good for you that your looking seriously at deals! I would recomend though, and this is coming from a fellow newbie, that you find a local experienced Real Estate Investor and run the deal by him/her. This would help you avoid some of the 'I don't know what I don't know' so that your next deal can be a home run.

Good luck! :)

@Bruce M.- If I had this experience I would assume if the company really believed in their product, they would make sure to be available for customer support. Unless the price was low enough I wouldn't care to lose it, I would either find another source or wait a bit until they respond, if they do...

@Eric Huebner- what a story! Never know they could move houses like that. Not your typical deal :)

From my (limited) experience from seeing the MLS listing after seeing a property on Zillow/ Redfin/ etc. I noticed that the MLS version had more details. It wasn't that the Redfin version was not accurate as much as many more fields were missing.

OK- I now hit the 100 post mark. I'm really getting this!

@Amy Kendall and @Wes Woodhouse- thanks for being the people I 'answer to'!

Meet you back here at 200! :)

Welcome @Eduardo Arteaga! Cool that you get onto this site and already have some nice things in your portfolio. I'm still working on it! I think you will find that this site is a great way to connect with other investors around the country and hear what different markets are like. Once you identify a market you are interested in, you will be able to find members from there who will be able to share some local resources/ contacts/ referrals.

Good luck!

@George Yeghiazaryan- a warm welcome to you as well!

There is a book 'emyth revisited' by Michael Gerber. He was on podcast #125. He has a really direct way of talking that I really enjoyed. He says he started out really 'stupid' (his word!) and how he connected with the best in the field to learn how to do it well, not being afraid to be the newbie. Haven't read the book yet, but I will when I have a 'business' going!

@Elijah Voigt- welcome to Bigger Pockets!

I came across this site not too long ago and am much more educated for it. I became completely obsessed with the podcast and listen to them a lot. I also like the new money show.

I think being active on this site is great for moving along your real estate goals for a few reasons:

1- you learn a ton from people who are doing this every day

2- you get to see other's questions and often the information offered is useful to you as well

3- you start being visible to other investors and can make connections with either local investors or others doing what you are interested in (flipping, wholesaling, buy and hold, etc.)

Good luck!
