@Michael Guzik- great question! As a brand new investor, I use the time I spend on this website to offer my two cents (for whatever it is worth) to those that I can offer it too, and to 'be' with others who are doing what I want to do. Before finding BP, I found it hard to keep my motivation up day in day out. I guess this is a bit like having a free coach holding you as accountable as you allow it to.

Also, listening to the podcasts as I do my housework teaches me information and inspires me to keep at it. I think pretending to be too busy to be on here before I could even be called 'too busy' wouldn't make sense for me to do.

@Lala Weiss I just wanted to comment on your wonderful attitude and not letting this set-back from stopping your success. Way to go :)

@Jeff Couch I opened the thread because of the title. I just enjoyed the honesty of it. I guess it is normal to be nervous and just as normal to move ahead despite that! I see you are new to the site: getting active can help settle those nerves and get you great advice and feedback! Good luck...

@Ken Breeze- thanks for bringing this to my attention... Funny, because someone else had sent me a pm with this info today :)

It's an hour and a half from my home, but I will work on getting there...

@Alina Trigub- this meeting sounds like something I might enjoy. Hope I can work it out for Monday, the 26th...

@Harry Williams- not sure I can add anything after these other great responses, but the first thing I can think of is your listing price. How did you decide on this number? Is it possible it is off by just a small number that makes people go with the other property they saw before or after yours? Just some food for thought.

I recently heard from @Ken Breeze the benefits to the tenants when the investor can be a good landlord. I had never thought of it from that perspective, as I had previously only thought of it as making sense for a healthy business standpoint. I am inspired to see investors putting their neighborhoods before making a big buck.

@David Sosna,@Andrew Kerr, @Dave Olverson, and @Peter Dunne Keep it up! The universe benefits so much from investors like you on this world :)

@Matt Gar- welcome to this site! You will meet amazing people here and get a whole lot of information...

One more place to look for events near you is on BP: https://www.biggerpockets.com/forums/521-events-an...

Hope that helps! you can search for one in or near your zipcode.

In addition, I really enjoy the podcasts here (both the BP podcast and the money show) and find that they inspire me to keep on going.

Good luck!

@David Archer House hacking is a great way to get started. Kudos to you that you are thinking of investing before you even graduate. That looks like great forward-thinking to me! :)
