I would save my money until I had the down payment in the bank. Then, I would determine whether there was a property available for purchase that fit my long-term investment plan and was in my price range. Good luck.

I believe there is an established REI group in Mobile, but I do not think it has had a meeting in a number of months. I do not know of one in Baldwin County, but there should be plenty of interest.
