Hey Seth! Welcome to BP! Real Estate investment is an exciting way to generate big money! The key will be education. Many investors have messed up by jumping into this field with poor knowledge and making poor decisions because of it. Take your time and learn about all the different options and find something that sounds like a good fit for yourself and your situation. Building up a good team of advisers and professionals to get sound advice is another great step as well. Feel free to message me with any questions and I'll be happy to help any way I can. I'm an expert in the Grand Rapids, Muskegon and West Michigan areas and focus on Foreclosures and Investment Homes. I'm also looking for a good Real Estate accountant to refer business too so we could have a mutual interest! Thanks!

Hello Chao! I am very familiar with this market as its my home town and main focus. Grand Rapids and Wyoming have very good investor opportunities for buy/hold/rentals. The rents in this area have climbed to a very lucrative amount and home prices have not kept pace, so there are easy buy/hold/cash flow homes available in both areas. I'd be happy to help you find something if you need some help. Just send me a message when its most convenient!

Muskegon has had its challenges to be sure. I can't speak to the past very favorably, but I can tell you that the future is looking bright for sure. It's always been a very divided community between the "haves" and "have-nots" but West Michigan's growth and demand is changing all of that. It has some of the most beautiful lake front in the entire mid-west and very cheap real estate right now with economic growth planned, so this is really the definition of "getting in on the ground floor" when many savvy investors make a killing.

Yes, Muskegon is a great market to target right now. West Michigan is a very hot market with next to nothing in unemployment and lots of job creation on the way. Grand Rapids is saturated with very low housing inventory right now and Muskegon is one of the next logical places for rapid expansion. Its been historically depressed but growing now with economic development it hasn't seen in decades. Let me know if I can help you achieve your goals in that area. I work that market as well as the Grand Rapids area so I'm familiar with the challenges and opportunities in both.
