Opportunity Zones are very interesting, and can be a great long term benefit. I've learned about them but have not had much experience working with investors specifically seeking opportunity zones. They seem to be almost under rated as I haven't heard much talk about them other than the brief courses I've taken that introduced them and am occasional podcast mention. I'm also not sure if they are more of a benefit to residential investing or commercial investing as you need to invest double the base value of the structure/structures to qualify for the tax benefits. This is a topic I am also interested in learning more about!

@Sara Simpson Thank you Sarah! I have enjoyed virtual meet-ups during this Covid time but unfortunately will be out of town next weekend during the 12th. When is the next meeting?

@Eddie Starr Hey Eddie. No noting yet, but I think Kelly is taking lead of organizing something once it is allowed more openly. It's tricky with all the Covid guidelines and rules.

Way to go Jake, that is awesome. Congratulations! House hacking is such a good strategy. I would love to do it but my wife isn't quite on board yet. Maybe for our next property haha. Thanks for sharing and keep it up.

@Kelly Clark I would love this!! I'm a local agent and very enthusiastic about REI. Breakfasts (8:00 - 9:00am) would work best for me. I like your mall idea. Maybe a diner with a separate conference room type area? I'm not sure of any specifically though.

@Yury Maslovskiy I am an agent in Spokane County and have been diving into REI the past year or so. Spokane is a very competitive market as well but I think it still does have more potential to offer than the Seattle area. I'll DM you 🙂
