Hi @Greg H. - Great, you say you're not an affiliate. Are you familiar with NREIG Affinity Group Management's affiliate program? Have or are you considering working with or profiting from them in some way?

Just so we stay on track...

National Real Estate Insurance Group (NREIG)/Affinity Group Management, here's how I see it:

1) I have heard many complaints about NREIG/Affinity Group Management denying seemingly reasonable claims but I don't hear this about other insurance companies. Insurance bad faith is not a new thing but I have never heard so many complaints about State Farm or any other company.

2) NREIG/Affinity Group Management company clearly suppressed important information.

3) NREIG/Affinity Group Management denied my claim.

4) NREIG/Affinity Group Management wrongly cancelled other policies.

5) We hear a lot of blame but from the insured's perspective, this is the only question that matters: If you can't get your carriers to pay reasonable claims, why would anyone want to buy insurance from you?

6) Other people in this thread have complaints too.

7) There's probably another good point or two but I need to get on with more rewarding things.

@Greg H.

My complaint about NREIG Affinity Group Management to The Arizona Department of Insurance was NOT denied so stop misleading people. They called and said the complaint would be in their file and they would take action if they had enough other complaints. It just wasn't a big enough issue for them to pursue with their limited budget.

Hi @Greg H.

Many people are complaining about NREIG Affinity Group Management, please stop saying it's just me, there are MANY complaints.

NREIG Affinity Group Management has an AFFILIATE PROGRAM WHERE THEY PAY PEOPLE TO SELL THEIR INSURANCE.

ARE YOU AN AFFILIATE?

@Greg H. - I have shared everything I need to share in NUMEROUS posts above. The claim was made NREIG/Affinity Group hid the adjuster's report which I am legally entitled to, they took far too long to investigate and, as I have explained in numerous posts above, which you seem to be ignoring, (I even attached in the image of a letter has evidence), unfairly denied the claim.

To add insult to injury, NREIG Affinity Group canceled all of my other policies in retaliation. A lawyer I consulted with says that I am entitled to punitive damages against a them for canceling the other policies. What is your affiliation with them and why are you so anxious to defend them? Thanks.

PS - This is obviously impacting a lot of people, I only had one claim but have heard numerous other complaints about them some of which are listed in this thread, did you read them?

PSS - Also, Greg, have you ever made a claim? It should be noted that I thought everything was fine too, until I had a claim.

I highly recommend being a direct investor so you own and control your investments/properties.

Hi @Leonard Nisay - Good thinking about markets with better cashflow. We have a property tour coming up in Orlando soon. Otherwise, let us know if we can assist in any way.

Happy investing,

Jason

Welcome @Keith Harris - not sure if you read the whole thread but it's worth it. There have been many issues raised including claims denial and hiding the adjuster report. I can't imagine anybody would think that's acceptable behavior.

- No objective person would say this is good corporate citizenship, again...

1) I made a claim.

2) Your company took an unreasonably long time to investigate the claim.

3) Your company suppressed and he hid the insurance adjuster report.

4) Your company denied the claim.

5) Your company was nonresponsive.

6) Your company finally provided the insurance adjuster's report after getting a long letter from our legal team.

7) Other people reached out to me saying that your company denied their claims too.

8) The Arizona Department of Insurance told me you didn't have any other complaints in their state at the moment so they put my complaint in the file.

9) I was told that your is being sued by another one of your clients for denying claims in Arizona but I guess they didn't file a complaint with the Department of Insurance... yet.

10) In retaliation, that is subject to punitive damages, according to our attorney, your company canceled all of my policies.

11) Your company continues to try and explain away the insurance bad faith issue and hide behind saying your claims history is proprietary when nothing could be further from the truth.

12) I reached out to your company several times suggesting that we discuss the issue but was told there's nothing to talk about. On the last communication, your company finally agreed have a chat but never scheduled the time to do so so it was lost in the ether.

Hi @Mike Wrenn -  You are using a very common tactic trying to make the victims look like the bad people. Smart people see right through that and we're calling BS. Whether or not your company pays claims, in the full amount of the claim, is by no means proprietary. You can share that but YOU REFUSE to do so.

What really happened with my claim is outlined in this thread above but here's a summary:

NOTE: I really have no interest in continuing to debate this so, please, just pay the claim and let's move on. Thank you.

Hi @Mike Wrenn - Thanks for the note; however, it seems like a diversion to me. I communicated with @Sara Nobles at your company about this yesterday. Here was my response to her email asking for a release:

----

Hi Sara,

Don't you think this is a rather absurd email? I already know you unfairly denied my claim but the inquiry is about your claims history, or, more accurately, the history of your company denying claims and the insurance bad faith issues, right?

Best,

Jason

----

As you know, when I discovered your company and interviewed you on my Creating Wealth podcast, I was very excited to have found you but, unfortunately, as time went on we started to hear complaints about your company denying insurance claims. I was sincerely hoping this would've been a great relationship, oh well. There's always a chance for recovery but it's in your hands.

That's good feedback @Greg H., thanks.  I think it would have been really difficult to deny a fire claim since that's the primary focus of a policy, in fact, most people call it "fire insurance." National Real Estate Insurance Group (NREIG)/Affinity Group Management seems to be denying a lot of other claims. It's been over a month and we're still waiting for an easy answer to a simple question asked of them on the amount paid in various claims.
