I live in Peachtree Corners and invest throughout Atlanta through wholesaling, rehabbing for retail sale, and (recently) landlording.  I did a flip in Alpharetta near the Avalon complex last year.

@John Ford- that's a great exposition on the beltline project! It certainly gave @Rob Barry a good education for somebody  out of town. I doubt the official beltline project website would do as well.  

I have wholesaled several houses in the Grove Park in Westview areas. I agree that there's lots of potential and there are certainly beautiful old homes (in the rough) over there. But you're right it is going to take a while for significant appreciation in some of those areas. I'm already seeing sales in Westview that are surprising though.

You'll either need to get the borrower to sign a deed-in-lieu of foreclosure or go through the process of foreclosure.

I might be interested in buying it from you as-is once you have title. message me if you want to talk about it.
