I rely heavily on reviews, but property management reviews are most often skewed. It’s a tough business, so it’s rare that any company is everyone’s favorite, and those who do have a good experience, don't leave reviews. There are some solid options in the area, but you’ll want to screen them carefully before moving forward. Asking for client references is one of the best ways to get a true picture of what working with them is really like.

Property management is a tough business, so you won't find any company that is everyone’s favorite. There are some solid options in the area though, but you’ll definitely want to screen them carefully before moving forward. A great way to get a true picture is by asking for client references—this will give you insight into what working with them is really like.

Yes, there are quite a few Section 8 investors in Cleveland, as it’s a solid market for that strategy, especially for out-of-state buyers. The cost of entry is much lower than in markets like NY, and there’s good demand from voucher holders. CMHA handles most of the vouchers, and while inspections can be strict, they’re manageable with a well-maintained property. Overall, it’s a viable market with decent returns if you do your due diligence and have good local management in place.

Hi Samuel, if you’re looking to invest in Cleveland and considering Section 8, I’d recommend focusing on the west side of Cleveland or nearby suburbs, these areas tend to offer more stability and less red tape. You’ll definitely want a strong investor-focused agent and a solid property management team in place.
