Post: Matching brands for appliances for a flip?

Interesting thread, I never would have guessed this could be an issue - except maybe in really high end homes.

When I purchased my primary residence, I chose the appliances based on features or warranty and ended up with a mix of LG / Maytag / Bosch. They were all stainless though.

I'm leaving shorty and should be there around 4-4:30.

Here is a recent article on population growth in VT that I'd like to discuss and get some feedback on:

Welcome to BP @Albertinny Colin!

I don't think there's an event created yet for the next meet up, but here is a thread from the last one where potential dates are being thrown around: https://www.biggerpockets.com/forums/587/topics/134517-vermont-reia?page=3

I'd likely be able to drive down for a Fri or Sat evening event.

I'm using Podcast Addict on Android and the I've tried both the "BiggerPockets" and "The Biggerpockets" search results, neither has updated in awhile. "The Biggerpockets" last episode was 314 Jan 24 and "Bigger Pockets" is 321 12 days ago.

The App says the RSS Feed is : https://www.biggerpockets.com/podcast.rss

Hey @Brian Budrow  Let us know what you find once you've spent some time in Rutland, I'm also going to be looking at Vermont but further north since I'm in Canada.

@Martha Nowlan is an investor friendly real estate agent in Vermont. Not sure if its in the area you're looking, but  if not she'd likely know someone who is.

Good luck!

Hey @Dan Forbes I don't know if its possible to have just a CC issued from a US bank.  I first opened a checking account with TD USA in a Vermont branch, deposited enough to waive the monthly fees on it and then applied for their no annual fee credit card.

The recurring expenses are all Canadian and generally amount to less than $50 a month. The CAD expense gets converted to a USD charge at the current exchange rate of that day. I'll end up paying a small vig to VISA on the conversion but the amounts are so small I consider it a wash for the gain of a US credit history.

I also use it when traveling or for the occasional larger USD expenses.

I bank with TD Canada and this is exactly what I did about a year ago to begin building US credit.  Once I got a credit card with TD USA I used it for small recurring monthly transactions like netflix etc.

One thing I would suggest is setting up a automated transfer payment for at least the amount of your minimum monthly payment.  You don't want to ruin any credit history built, by being late on a payment to a card that's mostly out of sight out of mind.

Thanks for organizing this @Philippe Laurin, I should be able to make the new dates and will confirm as it gets closer.
