Home Depot. they will have a list of contractors. I would also recommend maybe talking the the store manager and find out who is doing some volume. Also I would just show up at 5:00 a.m. when they open and talk to the contractors that are there when the store opens

@Huiping S. I agree unfortunately most people do not do this. It's frustrating but a lot of times it has to do with the home inspection as well. For example when they label something as "mold like" well technically they didn't have it tested so they don't know for sure that it is mold so they may not disclose it.

The seller should disclose it as now it was tabled in an inspection report.

Definitely say rip it out and install new. You will sleep easier at night that way doing it right and shouldn't be a huge cost difference.

Go to your local Home Depot. head to the pro desk area and ask to speak with the store manager. They know who the good contractors are and who is in there store every day. They will also have a list of contractors they recommend. My recommendation would be to show up at 5:00 a.m. and talk to the contractors that are there when the store opens.
