 If I refi, I lose the incredible rate I have, owe closing costs, and now my deal is no longer a deal because I will be negative cash flow big time!! The deal only works if I dont REFI

The Home is across from me. I meet the eligibility with cap limit but the concern is distance per VA guidelines. How do I get around this with the lender or provide justification? I am absolutely against lying or deceit by any means. Looking for any input. Thanks!

I currently own my own property as a VA loan. I want to assume a VA loan property across from me as an investment property and/or move in to it. If I assume it, will it count against my VA eligibity cap? Am I even able to do this since VA is strict on proximity to second home? Or will it not be affected? Thanks!

Hey everyone, I am following this post. Great insight, I am moving to Vegas in March '20 and I am in the exact same as @Jim Owens almost word for word. I hope I can find a good deal. It sounds like SFR is the way to go then correct? I plan to househack it. I am currently deployed and moving in March so I am studying the area now (plan to move North west vegas). Thanks!

Hey everyone I am currently deployed and when I get back I am moving to Vegas in March '20. Looking to start my investing career by househacking either in SFR or duplex/multiplex. If anyone can give me advice for Vegas or point me in the right direction I would appreciate it!

Between Las Vegas, Ft Worth, Tuscon, or Oklahoma City? I want to either BRRR or househack a multiplex

@Shaun Futch thank you very much! this helps a lot. I have decided (after studying a bit more and from the pre deployment readiness) that I will not do a fixer upper; however I a most likely start with a VA for my situation and overall recommendations. I will make sure that I will still be able to use it at my next location though. I am looking for deals now and running the numbers to make sure I get a good ROI.

Thank you everyone. After studying a bit more of my area and the potential I am 100% committed. my biggest question is VA loan or FHA? I hear differing opinions on this part. I would like to do some repairs on whatever I buy. Will VA loan allow this (ie buy a property for 50k, put another 40k into work, buy equipment/furniture for 20k = 110k total).

In about 1 year I will be moving and buying another property. Some say do FHA now then do VA loan on second property.

Others say you can do VA loan on both.
