Good work!  Keep us posted about your progress in 2018.  Also, please PM me. I've been communicating with another investor who is looking to be the financial partner in that very area.

Hello, and welcome!  I'm also investing in Ypsi.  Yes, I'd love to meet you at one of the events.  I sometimes go to the A2 Real Estate Investment Club which meets on the first Tuesday of the month.  PM me if interested.

Hello and welcome, Matt! I'm not too far from you (Ypsi). I've got a few SFH rentals and a few flips under my (tool)belt, but still have lots to learn. I encourage you to connect face to face through the local real estate investment clubs. I'm also happy to walk people through any of my current projects.

This thread popped up when I searched for info on Adult Foster Care.  I love that real estate investors are talking about kindness and providing high quality housing (as opposed to just the bottom line).  Also, it's good to discuss the level of skill and pay required to care for a vulnerable segment of the population (hinted at in a previous comment).

I am in southeast Michigan and just starting to learn about this type of home, and eager to learn more, and possibly partner.  Please PM me, if you'd like to discuss further.

I also am interested in Adult Foster Care.  I'm just starting to get educated about it.  I think it would be a wonderful way to combine the ambition of real estate investing with the kindness of caring for people.  Shall we pool our ideas, skills, resources?  @Anthony Venturini, @David Roberts, @Mike Simmons, @Account Closed

Hi @Craig Herring, welcome!  The podcasts are wonderful, aren't they?  I also encourage you to network face to face at the local real estate investment clubs.  I live in Ypsi and go to the Ann Arbor meetings.  I'd love to meet and chat.

The recent Bigger Pockets book Set For Life comes to mind.  If you don't have time to read the whole book, I recommend listening to the podcast that outlines the main points (episode 223) or search the blog for similar content.  You will find advice about reducing your own expenses so your savings grows fast, being in a career that has opportunity for advancement (you are!), and early investing.  I so wish this book was written 20 years ago! Best wishes!

HI @Gary Cobb, another idea is to network face to face at the local real estate investment clubs.  I think people are more willing to share info like this in person.  I'm in A2/Ypsi area and looking for same :)
