Hi All

I wanted to ask this exact question. I'm glad I checked around before asking. This is some great advice. I'm in the process (next 12 months) of doing one or the other and after reading this the "other" will be investing first. This BP community is very helpful. I'm glad I joined.

this is very interesting I read an article several months about this currency and it seemed something abstract or underground. I didn't think it could be used as currency to make real estate transaction. I'd love to know more?

Thank you all for the warm welcome. @Mehran - You're right about the underwriting. I read about that with the free book. I will give it serious thought before making that decision. @William - Hi, nice to meet someone in St. Louis. I look forward to the meetings. Thanks to everyone again. See you around the community.

Have a nice Holiday season

Hello All,

My name is Kizzy and I live in St. Louis, MO. I am a single mother working in Corporate America with a passion for creative writing and real estate. I am currently in the process of learning about real estate and plan to invest within the next 12 months. After reading the free book from BP, I've narrowed my niche to small apartment buildings(4 - 10 units) as my primary focus. I have no previous experience in real estate but I've always been curious and eager to learn. I know a real estate developer and a Vice President of a Property Management company so I think I have a pretty good head start with people who can help me with the tons of things I don't know.

Anyway that's me, I look forward to learning from the collective wisdom of the BP Community

I was recently looking into the same thing (buying a gas station) and some of the info I read was about location & the C-Store. It seemed the money came from the C-Store and not the actual gas. I also thought about looking into the future, meaning where will we be in 30 years on our consumption of oil & other energy sources. It's a lot to think about. Good luck with what ever decision you make.
