I personally like and invest in Columbus the most due to its increasing population and job growth. There are a lot of good cash flow markets in the Midwest, but not many offer the strong appreciation of Columbus to really build long term wealth.

Congrats on your success at Tesla, I’ve been rooting for Elon ever since I first heard of him. I’m also originally from the south of Boston area so I know you’ll like the location.
In regards to investing, I’d recommend identifying a market, finding a strong local agent in that market who can connect you with contractors, property managers, lenders, and on/off market deals. From there you’ll then be able to grow your team and start to scale your portfolio.
I personally like the Columbus, Ohio Midwest market for its strong population, job, and appreciation growth.

In Columbus, Ohio I have clients still aggressively buying as there is still a large increase in population/job growth with a lack of housing.

The best advice I would give is to connect with a local investor friendly agent who knows the inside and outs of the market, owns property, and is active. They’ll be able to give you the local knowledge you may be referring to as “secrets”.

The city has been replacing some of the large tub trash cans with smaller individual green ones. You sure that didn’t happen?

Wildcathardmoneylending, LimaOne, and AlohaCapital stood out as reputable 3 in my search.
