@John Paul Riturban I answered my own question. I viewed your profile and it showed the states your company lends. Thanks

@Paul Johnson ... I came across your post and wanted to send a welcome to you since we are from the same area. How has your investing been coming along. If I can ever assist you or if you needed someone in the Shreveport/Bossier area to bounce ideas off of I'm here.

Take care,

Michael

Hey @Alvin Taylor ... it's always great to see someone from the Shreveport/Bossier area joining the Bigger Pockets community! My strategy is a little different than yours because I am trying to accumulate rental properties so I can have the option to leave my current "Day job" and venture unto a new chapter in my life. But, none the less I currently own a handful of rental properties, am very passionate about real estate investing, helping others who have a similar outlook and am looking at trying different investing strategies to compliment my rentals.

Through BP I have been introduced to some AWESOME people that live in the Shreveport/Bossier area. If you ever need some local advice I would be more than happy to share what I have experienced with you guys and if I haven't experienced it yet I'm sure someone locally or in the BP community will help us.

Take care and I am only a phone call/message away.

Michael

Great Information Al.

Along these lines of marketing I've also thought to place in the yard of single family  units close to the street saying something along the lines of:

"Another Happy Family" or "Another Happy Renter"or placing your slogan and underneath place your Business name and contact Information... something that is putting your companies name out there  with a connection of a satisfied customer.

When I had a sprinkler system installed at my primary residence the servicing company offered a small discount if I would allow them to place a sign for XX # days. Also, when new homes are built the contractors Electrical, Plumbing  etc... place their "bandit signs at the front of the properties to get their names out there.

Just an idea because we are providing a service for the tenants. This could be a tool to generate more attention to our business and direct potential customers to our websites.

Just me thinking..

Michael

I posed the same question about a year ago in the forums (I'll try and link to it in another post). What I came to find out through personal experience is that a good commercial lender at a local bank is invaluable. I would recommend going to a portfolio lender who services their loans in house.

Search the thread "Best Bets for Portfolio Loans"... Great information included

Also search the thread:"Need guidance while searching for Hard Money Lenders in Louisiana"

Hopefully that helps
