@Account Closed You might want to copy paste this into the Marketplace section of the forums. It's the most proper and common way to seek out partnerships or deals. Best of luck!

@Theresa Amouzou I see. The UK is beautiful and there are many great places to see over there.
Be sure to investigate immigration policies properly before you go. Like how you get hold of a work permit or green card. Me and my boyfriend are in the process of investigating our move to the U.S, and it's been a lot of paperwork so far. In fact, we will probably have to get hold of an immigration attorney before we move, as there are strict requirements for any foreign citizens applying for green cards. And that's with me being a U.S. citizen to start with.

@Jennifer Slaughter Enjoy! Not everything is worthwhile reading, but the guy makes a strong point for why one should always follow one's dreams. It kind of reminds me of Rich Dad Poor Dad in the sense that you cannot unread it once you've read it.

@Nicholas M. You want to begin the value add/rehabs on the general property before you do the rent increase. Are there any common areas or outside landscaping you can do to add value before you talk to the tenant?

@Eric M. I second what everybody else has said.
Save up enough money from a job, and spend the time working learning how to live frugally and writing a business plan. That way, you'll have both the cash and knowledge needed to succeed in achieving your goals.

@Matthew Gonzales Welcome to Biggerpockets! Why multifamily if I might ask? I think it's a great goal and I applaud you, but most new investors look for SFRs to begin with. I myself fell for the concept of multifamilies after researching how many years it would take me to build a business based on SFRs, as opposed to multifamily apartment complexes.

@Mark Campbell Do not let the tenant move in early.
There is a BP podcast describing a situation very similar to yours. Listen to podcast 105 with investor Ophelia Nicholson who got sued for being nice and letting her tenants move in early. She was called a slumlord and lost against the tenant in court, if my memory serves me right.

@Gabriel C. Welcome to BP! This is a returning topic around here. In fact, it's so much debated Scott Trench recently posted a topic on the subject, which got a lot of detailed responses.

There are many strategies out there, but what is your end goal and timeline? Do you have any experience with real estate already?
