Well, we can all welcome Amy Owens to the BP Nation as I just received an email that she has signed up to receive all the greatness that BP has to offer. Thanks to your new invitation process.

Welcome!

I agree with Josh's decision simply because if he announced it will be recorded, no one else would sign up and make the commitment at takes to show up to the summit. I personally would be one to just stay home instead of going if he did audio/video. He needs a strong showing to consider this a success.

I would personally be willing to pay at least as much as the entry cost, as a plane ticket to America for me is well over 1000$.

Although, in your case and your specific location, I totally understand.

Check this out: http://www.biggerpockets.com/conference/event/conference-sessions/

Its probably much cheaper than the courses you're considering. I think I paid close $800 for the weekend.

This includes the tickets, airfare and hotel room(which I upgraded to one of their super sweet suites) and I'll be there 4 days.

Compare that price and what will be taught. Its much more value than buying an upsale course.

I'll disappointed in the BP Nation if this thread doesn't reach at least 30 pages. The least we can do is wish the man a happy bday...

and register for the BP Summit as your gift to Joshua Dorkin. I'm willing to bet he'd be happy with that.

I'll give you a quick run down of that company.

They are the result of a company no longer really around called Nouveau Riche (I forgot the exact spelling).

That company at one time actually had a great education and amazing networking opportunities for those who took advantage of it. I was one who spent I think it was close to $20k for all that.

Where they messed up and the reason you're going to those meetings, of which I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU STOP GOING TO is in there marketing. Instead of keeping up the high level of education, the focus became more and more on recruiting and the money you can make doing it. I never engaged in that because its nothing more than 'networking marketing' 'multi-level marketing' pyramid scheme' whatever you wanna call it. That's what it is.

I took advantage of what I learned there in addition to what I already knew/learned and experienced and applied. Ultimately became a better, smarter and more successful investor. It was not because of them. It was because I took what all I had gathered from all aspects of what I was learning and I applied it.

Again, my suggestion is to stay away. Especially the weekly meetings where they're essentially selling you on the 'opportunities'. Its all trash. It would have been nice if they kept up their initial high quality but as most great things, it eventually finds its own demise. NRU, now, an assortment of aliases is no different.

Why do you have to miss it?

I firmly believe NOT attending the event is hurting your business more than you're able to imagine right now.
