Annette Hibbler I am finding it interesting that up til now all the responses have been from men! It's good to hear from the moms! I would to hear more about your daughters investing!? Is it a property she owns with you or all by herself?
Aaron Mazzrillo Patrick D. Thanks guys!:)

@kevin I feel the time we spend on it is very minimal compared to the other subjects they learn in school, like math, spelling etc. teaching financial concepts seems to have fallen into the hands of us parents, so it's more about education than money.

Beth D. Yes! I agree, we tithe in our house! My parents taught me that lesson at the age of 12 and I attribute any success I've had in life to that principal first and foremost.
These are all such great ideas and stories. Just to clarify. My family is not at all just about money. The kids are not pushed and as their interest grows they are encouraged to see both sides of the coin. Of course our 5 year could care less about flipping houses, all he knows is that houses means we get to go to Colorado this Christmas, lol. But it allows us to let them know why math is important, fractions, percentage etc.
My kids are normal kids who love swimming, sleepovers etc. But they'll be more financially savvy than the rest of the kids in their class because of the culture we are creating in our home.
My kids all know they can have any car they want when they turn 16, but have to pay for HALF of it themselves.
My 9 year old and I had a convo last night about the new iPad mini. I asked her if she wanted one and she said no, she would rather save her money for the house to flip.
Then go buy one!
I think that's what I'm saying here. Stuff is cool, but teaching your kids how to work smart for that stuff is priceless.

Brandon Sturgill thanks for the reply! Yes we have them in private school too! Louisiana public schools "ain't" the best lol! I agree with balance. That's why we try to make it fun. The cashflow game we bought is a great tool and they LOVE it because it makes financial
Concepts fun for them. They beg me to play it everyday. Even my 5 year old loves it. !!
Thanks again an best if luck :)
