Post: How Can I Find Who's Bought At Auction?

Hi all,

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction here. Does anyone know if either auction sites or individual counties keep a log of the homes that were bought? I am looking for buyer information in order to reach out to auction buyers in my area.

Any guidance is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Nick

@Steven Leigh As I'm getting more and more RTS, I wanted to follow up on your tip. I was kind of under the mindset that an RTS indicated that the person no longer lived there, which I assumed indicated that the foreclosure in one way or another had been satisfied (loan brought current, gone to auction, sold to another investor, etc).

Have you had experience with an RTS still being a viable lead?

I've racked my brain and can't think of a way to specifically pinpoint completed rehab projects in a given area.

I'm currently using the MLS to find every All-Cash transaction in my area in 2016 (which I thought would produce a list of rehabs) but it is giving me a lot of of owner occupieds and apparent buy and holds (based on listing pictures being nice, finished homes). Very few rehab projects. Maybe folks in my area aren't paying cash for their projects?

Am i missing something to specifically find REHABS?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Dan, I recently moved to Oakland from Livermore, but go back often. Love to connect!

Hi Stephanie,

Are you only interested in SF proper or would you consider off-market MF's in other Bay Area locations?

@Account Closed Thanks for the tip Billy! I may actually start with only those "double up" candidates now that you mention it.
